Funko Pop Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy - Dancing Groot

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movie featured some of the most nontraditional heroes in their superhero genre. However, there were a few characters like Groot and Drax, that left a particularly deep impression on me. Not that Star Lord and Rocket raccoon are not cool but I felt that they talked too much and was well... a little annoying.

Groot, who sacrificed himself to save the team, has not only managed to survive but has been transformed into the cute little seedling dancing to the tune of Jackson's 5 "I want you back".

The above scene was in the credits and I guessed it really filled the audiences with joy knowing that Groot survived! By the way, do you know who voiced Groot in the movie? Yes, it was none other than the action man Vin Diesel.

Mark Sinclair aka Vin Diesel - the voice of Groot

Funko has managed to increase the cuteness level of the potted seedling Groot to 150% by introducing their own version of the Dancing Groot.

The Funko Pop Dancing Groot measures about 9.25 cm or 3.75 inches tall and it is a bobble-head figure which means that the head is attached to a spring and once you touch the head, it moves around. It would be incredible if someone could customize it to move to actual music.

The  Funko Pop dancing Groot makes a good desktop accessory. With its tidy hands and soil in the pot, it really helps to add a little piece of greenery to the dull office space.

There are two other exclusive version of the dancing Groot: The Entertainment Earth Exclusive and the Hot Topic Exclusive. What's the difference? For the standard Funko Pop dancing groot, it comes in a white pot. For the Entertainment Earth Exclusive, it comes in a red pot with the ravager sign. (The Ravagers are an interstellar group of thieves, smugglers and pirates. They were notable across the galaxy for their crimes and red uniforms. They are allies of the Guardians of the Galaxy -taken from marvelcinematicuniverse.wikia.com). Check out the review of the Entertainment Earth exclusive below.

For the Hot topic exclusive , it comes with a blue pot.

On a personal take, I prefer the Hot Topic exclusive dancing Groot because I feel that the blue pot with the "I am Groot" slogan really adds meaning to the bobble-head figure. So, which dancing Groot do you prefer?

In any case, check out the Dancing Groot on Amazon below:
